LGB and Transgender: Training and Consultation

I am a clinical social worker who provided counseling and psychotherapy for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender clients, as well as those questioning their sexual or gender identity, for over 30 years. I am proud to be a 2013 Honoree of the New Haven Pride Center's Dorothy Awards. I also received the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Connecticut chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.

As a clinician who specialized in working with transgender teens and young adults and their parents, I published Helping Your Transgender Teen, for parents, in 2011. My second book, Counseling Transgender and Non-Binary Youth, was published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers in 2017. They published the second edition of Helping Your Transgender Teen in 2018.

I currently provide training, supervision and mentorship for other professionals working with this population. I closed my therapy practice in July of 2016. Former clients should feel free to contact me for referrals for additional services or copies of records.
