Family Therapy
GLBT families come in various shapes and sizes: gay or lesbian individuals and couples with children; families with a son, daughter or grandparent who is gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender; straight married couples with children who suddenly find themselves to be a GLBT family when one of the spouses discloses his or her homosexuality or gender identity. In addition to the challenges that all families face, GLBT families have to work hard to promote safety and acceptance within the family and in the larger community. Families with gender atypical children face similar challenges.
After training intensively as a family therapist in my early years, I have gone on to work extensively with GLBT clients in a wide range of family configurations. I would be happy to speak to you about the challenges your family is facing and how I can help. Please feel free to contact me by phone at 203-776-1966 or
